The FAQ has been updated and reorgainized. The FAQ is now split up into two large sections: Prey - The Game, and Prey - The Technology. Most of the FAQ has been changed, updated, and checked for accuracy. This is a recommended read for anyone who wants to find out more about the game or wants to get updated.

Preyland, a new Prey site hosted by Neurogamer. Preyland focuses on Prey news and hosting of other Prey sites. The site is maintained by a team of three people: Denison Hatch, Andy Soltow, and Doug Brunner. I see that the site is also looking for some others to help out the site with job openings as news people and hosting director.

George Broussard announced in his plan update yesterday that Martin, the German level designer hired to work on Prey has finally arrived in Garland, Texas. This most likely means that the environments in Prey will pick up pace with three full time mappers on the job. It was too bad it took eight months to get Martin to the US, this is why Apogee does not like to hire employees outside of the US.

"The Numbers Game" is the newest Monthly Prey Design Journal at C|Net's Gamecenter. The topic of this month's article is the programming and the math behind the programming. The programmers talk about the complicated math that goes into the making of Prey, and it sure is complicated. :) The Journal also includes one new screenshot of the Skinner tool in Prey.
Not many new Prey sites have been launched lately, but here is one new site called Viper's Prey Pen. This trend will probably continue until late May when E3 takes place.

With the uploading of the newly redesigned Apogee
Software website came a new Prey
development update, new information, and new screenshots! First of all, it
sounds like Martinus from Germany will be joining the Prey team in "a few days."
Paul explained that Martinus has been working on Prey from Germany for a little
while now though, but now he will work full time in house. The map that got him hired by the company has
also been released.
Paul also told a little about the abstract geometry incorperated into Preditor now. This new system adds much more freedom and creativtly. But, of course, we don't know any of the details :)
For the release of the new web site, more information on the tools for the game have been released. The PreyOS, Preditor, and Skinner are explained in more detail here. Good secreenshots of each program are also shown. It seems like some new general screenshots have also been released. This one caught my attention!
I'll try to sort all of this out and update the other sections of the site soon.
