Pharaoh's Tomb was a game created by George Broussard (Which he spelled his last name wrong in the title screen above) when he ran Micro F/X Software in 1990.  Shorty after, George Broussard teamed up with Scott Miller at Apogee Software and Pharaoh's Tomb became apart of the Apogee lineup. The game has since been discontinued, but you can still download it and play it.

George Broussard said that it took him about a month to create Pharaoh's Tomb. That's a giant leap from today's multi-year projects.   Pharaoh's Tomb was one of Apogee's eariler games to take advantage of CGA graphics compared to plain text.  But after looking at the game, I noticed a lot of orange that was being used.

    Story

ptomb2.gif (139 bytes)You are Nevada Smith, a research assistant to a professor of archaeology at a major university.

For years now, you have studied in the hopes that the professor would include you in one of his famous treaure hunts.  But it is not to be.

Once again the professor is planning to leave you here to do more research as he goes in search of a secret pharoh's tomb deep inside one of the great pyramids of Egypt.

It wouldn't be so bad except you're the one who discovered it! Looking up from another dusty old book in the library, you decide you're just not going to take it anymore.  Slamming the book shut, you know what must be done...
