Mystic Towers is a unique Apogee game of adventure, puzzles, and action.  Baron Baldric is the star of this isometric view game, but this isn't Baron's first game.

The Apogee FAQ says this about the first game: Baron Baldric, the star of Mystic Towers, originally starred in a game called, simply, "Baron Baldric: A Grave Adventure." The game was designed for the Amiga by professional animator Lindsay Whipp of Animation F/X. It was then ported to the PC. The game was a 2D scrolling platform game and released as shareware by Manaccom in 1993.

"A Grave Adventure" takes you under Castle Pedabouch in search of the family treasures in the tomb by the evil wizard Lazarus.   Centuries ago, Baron Baldric's ancestor, Baron Lazarus Pedabouche studied an evil Wolf-Magic and became a cruel tyrant.  But when he seized Roise, a local milk-maid, he was stoned to death by his own subjects.  Rosie died too, and was doomed to haunt the castle until Lazarus is slain.

The Dates

In 1994, Lindsay Whipp and Animation F/X created a second Baron Baldric game called Mystic Towers. Animation F/X is a tream based out of Brisbane, Australia.   Mystic Towers  was published by Apogee Software and is featured here, the first game does not have anything to do with Apogee.

Story                            

Baron Baldric recieves a deputation from the Rim Village asking to rid the Lazarine Tower from the evil monsters inside and to restore the peace.  Baron lisens and decides to enter the "Mystic Towers" and complete the villager's requests.

Your job is to rid the towers of the monsters plus destroy a Monster Generator in each tower.
