Xenophage: Alien Bloodsport marked a first for Apogee Software as its first fighting game release. This is not your standard Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter game with standard ninjas, but a fighting game where aliens of all races come together to duke it out to the end. Xenophage is one of Apogee's more recent games, which includes SVGA graphics, big sprites, and a unique zooming mode

Argo Games developed Xenophage under lead of Jason Blockowiak. A few years before Xenophage, Jason programmed United States Trivia under his own name and later Hexxagon under Argo Games.

Xenophage was Argo's biggest game pulling help from a larger team and a bigger budget. If you're looking for a peek at what Argo Games worked on after Xenophage, there is a little treat later in the article.

Story

The storyline behind Xenophage begins when Nick is minding his own business chopping wood at his home, when a flash of light appears and he is transported up to an alien ship.
